TradeX App · Privacy Policy
This policy explains what the TradeX app collects, why, and what you can do about it. The app is used by TradeX students (to follow their classes, attendance, tests and progress) and by the TradeX team (to run the institute). It is operated by TradeX, North Nazimabad, Karachi, Pakistan.
What we collect
- Your details from admission: name, phone and WhatsApp number, CNIC, father's or guardian's name, date of birth, city, address, email, education and occupation, and who referred you.
- Your course: branch, course, batch and timing, roll number, and the password you chose (stored only in scrambled form; nobody at TradeX can read it).
- Your progress: class attendance, class test answers and scores, homework, points and streaks.
- Payments you make to TradeX: amounts received, how they were paid (cash or transfer) and transfer receipts you or our team upload. We never collect card or bank account numbers in the app.
- Trading deposit: whether your trading deposit is made through TradeX or by yourself, and, if you share it, the broker and the email of your broker account, so we can confirm your account is set up under TradeX.
- Visits: if you check in at our reception, your name, phone number and the reason for your visit.
- For the TradeX team only: office check-in and check-out times, leave applications, and work records.
The app uses your camera only when you scan a code (for example the attendance code), and your photos only when you choose to upload a receipt. Nothing is recorded in the background.
Why we use it
- To create your account, place you in your class, and open or lock the app according to the fees and deposit rules you agreed to at admission.
- To record attendance and progress, and to help teachers support students who fall behind.
- To contact you about your classes, fees and course, including on WhatsApp.
- To run the institute: staff attendance, pay and planning.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising by third parties.
Who processes it
Your data is stored with Google Firebase (database, sign-in and file storage) and the app is served by Netlify. WhatsApp messages are sent through Meta's WhatsApp Business platform. Payment records may be kept in TradeX's own Google Sheets. These providers process data on our behalf. If you choose to open a trading account, your broker (for example Exness or Dominion Markets) handles that account under its own privacy policy; we only see what our partner programme shows us.
How long we keep it
We keep your account while you study with us and afterwards so you can move up to the next course and keep your record. You can ask us to delete it at any time (below). Payment records may be kept longer where the law requires.
Your choices
- Ask for a copy of your data, or correct anything that is wrong, at the branch or on WhatsApp.
- Stop WhatsApp messages by replying STOP or telling the branch.
Security
Data travels encrypted. Each student can see only their own record; the team sees what their role needs. Passwords are stored scrambled and are checked on our server, never in the app.
Children
TradeX courses are for adults. We do not knowingly enrol anyone under 18 without a parent or guardian.
